A mother's Plea for help for her two sons

Bhaktapur, Nepal

16th Sept, 2024.

Dear kind-hearted people,

Namaskar! (All the way from Nepal).

I, Mrs Tamang, a mother of two sons, is here to plead for your kindness and help. My eldest son is in Grade VIII, the final year of his Basic Foundation in schooling and my second son is in Grade IV. Both the boys have good grades in their studies. The eldest son had secured 3.82 and the second child had secured 3.53 out 4 GPA in the final examination held in 2023. They are shining in the extra-curricular activities too especially the eldest son is shining with colours in Arts, dancing, elocution and creative writing such as short stories and poems. The youngest child is good in sports. I should have been a proud mother but reality hits hard and deep. Despite all these, the school is not able to take them in because we have our tuition fees still left to be paid in the school. My sole income that comes from cutting threads in the garment factory is not helping us to sustain let alone pay the tuition fees. My husband is not obliged to fulfil his duties as a father, to put in simple words, we are not being supported financially by him. It’s been going on like this for more than two and a half years. I always want to give the best for my children but I am failing here. I wish my sons to dream big and achieve their dreams proudly one day. Seeing them being pulled into the pit of misery with me is pricking to the heart of a mother. However, I am helpless here. Every day, I pray for a miracle to happen because we know that the Almighty and Mankind, both exist in this world.

I again plead to all the kind-hearted people with my knees kowtowed, head bowed and hands joined together with gratitude to help me support my children’s education. Your small aid will mean a lot to me and my children.

Thank you all from the deepest core of my heart.

Sincerely yours,

Mrs Tamang
